Saffron Rice

1 small onion chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 cups white rice
3 3/4 chicken broth
2 pinches of saffron
1 tsp salt

crush 1 pinch of saffron and add to 1 /2 cup warm water the add the other pinch of threads let sit
fry onions in olive oil until carmilizeded
add the rice and stir about 5 mins then add the saffron mixture
add broth bring to a boil lower heat to low and cover about 20 minutes until all water is gone

3/6/17 maid with brown rice it takes longer to cook.at least 35 to 45 minutes

6/22/20 this is excellent
3 1/2 chicken broth
1/2 t Tumeric
1/2 t saffron
1/2 t chili flakes
Squeeze lemon
2 cups white rice
2 tablespoon fish sauce or c1/2 tsp salt
Boil stock while it’s coming to boil add all stuff bring to boil reduce heat cover and cook 12 to 15 min
