No cook Pickles - these are excellent.
We were looking for a way to make simple pickles without all the canning
and extra steps. So we found this one and it was too simple and the pickles are about these best you will ever find! Plus it only takes 2 days. Try this recipe, you won't regret it! These turn out nice and crunchy and make a great snack.
5 fresh cucumber pickles
2 cups of cold water
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
1 T salt
2 t sugar
5 whole peppercorns
fresh ground pepper
3 cloves of garlic sliced or minced
*1 Jalapeno cut into fourths.
* optional you can also add a habanero, dill, onions, scallions etc. Whatever you like! You can adjust the garlic to your liking.
Slice both ends of the cucumbers because they could be bitter. Cut in into slices or wedges. Mix everything together and put in the refrigerator for 2 days.
I use a zip loc bag for the first 2 days and then transfer to a mason jar for easier storage. But they will last
a long time. You will eat them all long before they could spoil!
